The leaf spring is an important component of the suspension, responsible for the airship’s reliability and safety.
We are sharing footage of the manufacturing of a composite leaf spring for the NOVA-2 airship — our next model with a volume of 2,000 m³.

The video shows the process and the main stages of the technology for manufacturing the composite element: tooling preparation, mold formation, material layup, and subsequent heat treatment.
At this stage, a prototype — half of the spring — has been manufactured for strength testing on a specially prepared test bench.
The main objective of the tests is to confirm the element’s design parameters:
stiffness, strength, and the structure’s behavior under load.

After analyzing the results and confirming the required parameters, the team will proceed to manufacture the full leaf spring, which will be installed on the NOVA-2 airship.
